FSA SMR Stem – Smart Cable Routing

The FSA SMR (Smart Cable Routing) Stem is a versatile cockpit solution designed to support both fully integrated and semi-integrated cable routing. Developed using FSA’s expertise in headsets and cockpit components, the SMR system provides a true plug-in option for routing cables, wires and hoses cleanly from the handlebar into the frame.

Compatible with electronic and mechanical shifting as well as hydraulic and mechanical braking, the SMR stem allows full internal routing through the stem and headset, or a semi-integrated setup with cables guided neatly beneath the stem using the adjustable SMR cover—without needing to remove the stem. This delivers a clean, aerodynamic finish while retaining flexibility for different handlebar choices.
